The new updated version of CCR1009 is here. We tried to combine customer feedback and best manufacturing practices of CCR devices from these last 3 years, since the first CCR1009 devices were released.
Important changes:
No switch-based chip
The device now features fully independent ethernet ports with direct connections to the CPU, making it possible to overcome the previous 1Gbit shared limitation of the switch-chip ports and utilize the full processing power of the CPU on those ports.
Combined port
A single 1Gbit software interface that has two hardware interfaces: an SFP port and a Gigabit Ethernet port, allowing you to use any type of connection at your disposal. The port allows you to switch from one to another interface from the software, or in case of disconnection, providing the hardware fail-over feature.
100Mbps SFP support
This is our first device to support 100BASE-LX/100BASE-SX/100BASE-BX modules, according to the SFP 1.25G module standard.
More performance
Due to the connection of the ports to the CPU, the new CCR1009 models can achieve more theoretical performance.
This unit is equipped with a passive cooling box, with two heat-pipes and a specially designed heat-sink (dissipation tubes), so it is completely silent. It is powered by an external 24v 2.5A AC/DC adapter and supports power redundancy if connected through the PoE port.
