The new updated revision of the CCR1009 is here. Mikrotik has tried to combine all the customer feedback and best practices in CCR device manufacturing that they have learned over the last three years, since the release of the first CCR1009 devices.
Important changes:
No switch-based chip
The device now features fully independent ethernet ports with direct connections to the CPU, overcoming the previous 1Gbit shared limitation of the switch chip ports and utilizing the full processing power of the CPU on those ports.
Combined port
A single 1Gbit software interface that has two hardware interfaces: an SFP port and a Gigabit Ethernet port, allowing you to use any type of connection at your disposal. The port allows you to switch from one to another interface from the software, or in case of disconnection, providing the hardware fail-over feature.
100Mbps SFP support
This is our first device to support 100BASE-LX/100BASE-SX/100BASE-BX modules, according to the SFP 1.25G module standard.
More performance
Due to the connection of the ports to the CPU, the new CCR1009 models can achieve more theoretical performance.
This unit is equipped with a passive cooling box, with two heat-pipes and a specially designed heat-sink (dissipation tubes), so it is completely silent. It is powered by an external 24v 2.5A AC/DC adapter and supports power redundancy if connected through the PoE port.
Two versions are available, the CCR1009-7G-1C-1S + PC also includes an LCD touch screen, Smart Card Slot, microSD and a SFP+ port for 10G connections.
